And the time keeps ticking by......
We are still waiting to sign the P&S agreement for 19 BHL but we think we are getting closer. Hopefully by the end of this week/early next week our purchase will be in writing and we will have one more milestone checked off the list.
We also got word that an offer has been excepted on Lot 17!! More new neighbors to come!!

Mill Pond
There is a small park and pond at the end of BHL, Mill Pond Park, which is part of Ashland conservation land. We haven't seen anyone canoeing or kayaking but there is an area to put in a small boat if you wish. Personally, I just thought it was a pretty and hope that during big storms we don't have a flooding situation on our hands. I am sure the foliage in the fall will be beautiful as well so I can't wait to see how it is transformed.

Ashland High - A Model School
Who would have thought?? It also just so happens that the other model school is in the same town that the Paul and Joyce Ciano clan live in. The Boston Globe - Model Schools
The Metrowest Daily News - Ashland High will be used as State Model
We can only hope that when our offspring are ready to attend high school Ashland High will still be considered a state model. We shall have to see in 15+ years.

Blueberry Hill Lane (BHL)
The era of texting has created a new language of acronyms and shortcuts so I thought I would continue the trend by shortening Blueberry Hill Lane to BHL from now on.Many of you out there have been asking about BHL over the last couple of months so here is the scoop. BHL is a rather short street; after Lot 16, 17 and 18 are completed, there will be a total of 8 houses on the street. At the end of the street there is a cul-de-sac and Lot 16, which will actually be #19 BHL, is at the end with Lot 17. Once you turn onto BHL, the road curves and goes up hill slightly. The 5 houses that are established on the street were built in the last 5 years by a different builder. Based on our research, they are on smaller lots, and we believe that Lot 16, 17 and 18 are double lots. I can't imagine 6 more houses being built instead of 3...that would be craziness.

Big Steps at Lot 16 - Foundation!!
Yesterday while Chris hit the links, I decided to participate in one of my favorite past-times, shopping a la the Natick Collection. Since I was out near Ashland, I took a drive to Blueberry Hill Lane (BHL). We were there a little over a week ago so I wasn't expecting any changes to Lot 16 but when I arrived I was elated to see that the foundation had been poured!! Now we can really see where the house will be situated on the land and how close it will be to the houses next door. We are still waiting for the contract to be finalized so we can make it official with our John Hancock's and 5% down-payment, but the foundation is the next best thing that could have happened. Next will be framing and with that we can select what color the house will be....I'm thinking yellow. Monday, August 11, 2008
