Miss Evelina is obsessed with cars, trucks and trains so when the I heard about a touch-a-truck event up the road in Hopkinton, we couldn't pass it up. She was hesitant to get in the first dump truck, but once she did, she was hooked. She loved the fire truck best, couldn't get enough!!

2nd Birthday Photos
2.0 | 24 Weeks
How far along? 24 weeks
Baby’s Size: Cantaloupe
Total Weight Gain: 14 ½ lbs. Yowza...a 9lb weight gain since my last appointment. Siby must have gone through a growth spurt.

Maternity Clothes: Most definitely. I'll be sporting my first maternity bathing suit this weekend. I'm sure I'm going to look hot :-)
Gender: It's a Girl!!
Movement: A great deal of movement everyday. She often frightens me when I'm not expecting a kick or a turn.
Sleep: I'm sleeping pretty well, still sans body pillow. Now, does anyone know how to stop a toddler from waking up bright-eyed and busy-tailed between 4:30 and 5am every few mornings? If so, let us know!!
Symptoms: Same old, same old.
Best Moments this week: I had my 24 week appointment yesterday and got to check in on Siby and here her strong heartbeat, in the 150s. It is always so fun to hear it.
Food Aversions: None to note.
Food Cravings: I always want something sweet.

What I miss: Having the energy to keep up with Evelina!! Man is it tough.
What I am looking forward to: Another ultrasound scheduled for the beginning of July. At my 20 week ultrasound, they noticed that my placenta has 2 lobes when it normally has one. At the time it didn't look like it would be an issue, but they just want to check in again to make sure that it's still in a place where it will not impede on the cervix (I would need a c-section if it were). We are not concerned about it. I'm mostly excited that we will get to see Siby again and perhaps get some 3-D pictures this time around.

No Turning Back
There's no turning back now, Evelina's big girl bed has been ordered!!
This was such a tough decision. Chris was comfortable with the big girl bed idea, but me on the other hand kept worrying about the transition. I was pretty set on just getting another crib for Siby since Evelina still really likes her crib, can stay in it contently in the morning before we have to go in to get her (up to an hour sometimes), and she is not strong enough to climb out yet, etc. Even with the pros, she will be 28ish months when Siby is born so she may actually be trying to climbing out by then and the transition to a big girl bed AND adjusting to a new sister at the same time may be tough. Her new bed will arrive in a few weeks and our plan is to start the transition in late July, early August so she is used to it before our new little one arrives. I'm sure I will be full of updates when the time comes. Fingers crossed!!

How far along? 23 weeks
Baby’s Size: Grapefruit
Total Weight Gain: 5 ½ lbs.
Maternity Clothes: Yes and I’ve had to start ramping up my summer maternity wardrobe. Evelina was born by this time of year so I don’t have many warm/hot day outfit options.
Gender: It’s a Girl!!!
Movement: Lots of movement which I can feel as high as my belly button. Some stronger kicks have started to emerge, but since they are so random, neither Chris nor Evelina have felt them yet.
Sleep: Can’t really complain about sleep these days, and it helps that Evelina has been sleeping a tad better since her first 2nd year molar emerged.
Symptoms: Pregnancy rhinitis, heartburn and constipation…ugh.
Best Moments this week: Lots of movement which is always fun.
Food Aversions: I wish I wanted to eat more veggies.
Food Cravings: Sweets, I’m nervous for my glucose test.
What I miss: Not much really other than my normal bathroom schedule.
What I am looking forward to: Really getting going on the nursery. I’ve started to buy some things for both the nursery and Evelina’s big girl room. There is lots of work to be done and hopefully I will have the motivation to complete it all.
What Else? We have been reading a few big sister books to Evelina over the past couple of weeks and she is so cute with them. There is one in particular that she will pick up and immediately say “big sister” or “big sister Lina”. When we ask her if she is going to be nice to the baby, help feed or hold the baby, hug and kiss the baby, she always replies with a “yup”. Let’s hope that is really the case. It is truly adorable.

24 Months!!! 2 YEARS OLD!!!
What happened?! When did you grow up and become a 24 month old....2 years old?? It feels like just yesterday we were celebrating your first birthday, you couldn't walk, you only spoke a few words, and you were still dawning some baby chub. In the past year you have grown so much and we have been oh-so- -lucky to witness your transformation.
You are a beautiful, lively toddler with boundless energy. A source of constant light with your full smile beaming for all to see and your endless giggles that can turn even the worst day into one of the best. You are determined, stubborn, cautious, bossy, particular, sweet and caring. Chatterbox doesn't even begin to describe you. There is always some type of verbiage coming out of you mouth. You are either speaking in sentences (2-4 words), constantly describing objects or pictures, attempting to sing, or "reading" books. It is a true joy to watch your personality develop and witness you learning something new everyday.
We are so happy to have you in our lives and are blessed that we have the privilege of watching you grow into a smart, independent, and gorgeous little girl. You are one amazing Bambina!!
We love you so much and can't wait to see what the next year holds for you.
You are the sunshine of my life,
Mommy

How far along? 20 weeks
Baby’s Size: Banana
Total Weight Gain: 5 ½ lbs. By this time with Evelina I had gained more so I think I may need to start eating a little bit more. I would like this baby to be at least in the 6lbs range...a tad bigger than Evelina was.

Maternity Clothes: Yes, although I'm still wearing many non-maternity tops.
Gender: IT'S A GIRL!!
Movement: Lot's of movement and I can even feel taps on the outside which is fun. I even think Siby had a case of the hiccups the other night, teehee. Luckily the movement isn't strong enough to keep me up at night yet.
Sleep: Unfortunately, I've been plagued by a head cold accompanied by endless coughing for almost 2 weeks. Evelina has suffered the same. Needless to say, our sleep has been affected. Not fun. Benedryl has become my BFF once again. I don't know what I would do without it.
Symptoms: Minor heartburn and a cold (or a combination of allergies...man has the pollen been horrible).
Best Moments this week: We had the fetal survey last week and got to check in our Siby. She was just chillin' out with her ankles crossed. She must have been in a sleep cycle. It was tough for the ultrasound technician to get a good look at everything, but she finally got what she needed and all looks great. We almost left without knowing the gender...stubborn child. Ultimately, I moved around slightly and we got a look at the goods. Evelina was always so active during ultrasounds so maybe Siby will be more laid back. We shall see.
Food Aversions: None to note.
Food Cravings: Still loving the Cocoa Pebbles still.
Food Cravings: Still loving the Cocoa Pebbles still.
What I miss: Being able to take cold medicine that is actually effective.
Bambina #2!!
It's another girl for the Ciano family!! Of course, we had to follow in the Fisher tradition since the majority of the Fisher ladies have girls, 2 girls at that.
Let's hope Siby doesn't mind wearing hand-me-downs...at least for the first couple of years anyway.
